Beaches for children in Croatia

With sand or fine gravel, often with a gentle slope into the water, or with a lifeguard: Gortanova draga (near Pješčana Uvala), Uvala Sveta Marina (near Crni), Pinižule (near Premantura), Osorska luka (near Osor), Punta Vrilo (near Splitska), Zlatna uvala (near Cocaletto), Komoriška (near Klanice), Konoba Duga (near Seget Donji).

With lifeguard: Gortanova draga (near Pješčana Uvala), Uvala Sveta Marina (near Crni), Pećine – Silo (near Klanice).

Water shoes, sun cream and shade. Many beaches are pebble or rock beaches; shade comes from pine trees along the beach or a parasol.

From mid-June to mid-September the sea is usually 22 to 26 degrees. It is warmest in July and August, but the beaches are also busiest then.
