Omiš lies where the river Cetina flows out of a narrow gorge into the sea, about 25 kilometres south-east of Split. Above the old town stands Mirabella fortress, a reminder of the time when Omiš was a feared pirate base.

Clean - near lovely medieval town (Omis) Loved the area - lots to do ideal for sea bathing - food and bars. - Apartment was too small for 4 people - the lounge dining and kitchen was inadequate - the only soft furnishing was a bed-settee for 2 otherwise hard dining chairs were the only alternative. Both bedrooms were very small a tight squeeze between wall and bed and in one the wardrobe door could not be opened properly. The view described in the photos on the website suggested that the apartment had an unobstructed vista down to the sea and the village but a new building was directly in front and totally spoiled the view.

Die Wohnung ist schön und der Vermieter nett. Allerdings hatte. Wir eine Baustelle direkt vor unserem Balkon sodass wir ihn nicht so nutzen konnten wie wir das gerne getan hätten. Auch der Weg in die Stadt ist ohne Auto nicht zu bewältigen. Das muss einem bei der Buchung bewusst sein.
