Postira is a fishing village on the north coast of the island of Brač, about ten kilometres east of the ferry port of Supetar. Konobas and cafés surround the small harbour, and fishing and sardine processing have a long tradition here.

Monumental cross
Križ Kristu Otkupitelju

The monumental cross “Križ Kristu Otkupitelju” stands on the summit of Vidova gora, the highest mountain on Brač and on any Adriatic island. Built in 1998 of white Brač marble, it is 12 metres high including its base and replaces a cross from 1934 that was destroyed.

Die Lage des Hauses ist schön. Das Meer herrlich warm. Große Pinienbäume bieten Schatten. Der Zugang zum Meer ist leicht, große Steinplatten gehen sanft ins Meer über, perfekt! - Leider ist das Haus nicht sehr sauber. Alles sehr klein. Die Wiese vor dem Haus ist voller Grasmilben, was den Urlaub letztendlich sehr unangenehm gemacht hat. Preis/Leistung ist nicht gut.
