Fort Castiun

Fort Castiun, also known as Fort Pomer, is a land fortress in Istria, near Pomer and in the vicinity of Pula. It is one of the largest fortifications in the Pula area. From 1881 to 1943 the site served as a weapons store, and after that it remained in military use until 1978. The associated gun emplacement lies in its immediate vicinity; the site is under the supervision of the Croatian Ministry of Defence.
