Fort Casoni Vecchi

Fort Casoni Vecchi, also known as Fort Monte Paradiso, is a fortified tower on a hill near Pula in Istria. The Austrian Empire built it in 1853 and 1854 to protect the main war harbour of its navy. Today the Casoni Vecchi association maintains the site, and the Pula Library stores books in the fort. From 1992 to 2000, a music festival was held here.
