Temple of Augustus

The Temple of Augustus is a Roman temple in the Republic Square in Pula, which the residents also call the Forum. It was built under Emperor Augustus and was dedicated to the emperor and the goddess Roma. Despite its small size, the building appears monumental; a relief frieze runs beneath the roof, and an open colonnade stands at the front. The small interior can be visited and displays several archaeological finds from the antiquities collection of the Archaeological Museum of Istria.
