Nerežišća lies in the interior of the island of Brač and was long its main town. The quiet village is surrounded by olive groves and dry-stone walls.

Monumental cross
Križ Kristu Otkupitelju

The monumental cross “Križ Kristu Otkupitelju” stands on the summit of Vidova gora, the highest mountain on Brač and on any Adriatic island. Built in 1998 of white Brač marble, it is 12 metres high including its base and replaces a cross from 1934 that was destroyed.
