Supetar is the main ferry port of the island of Brač; the ferry from Split takes about 50 minutes. The town has a seafront promenade with restaurants and cafés and pebble beaches, some of them gently shelving.

Monumental cross
Križ Kristu Otkupitelju
13 km as the crow flies
The monumental cross “Križ Kristu Otkupitelju” stands on the summit of Vidova gora, the highest mountain on Brač and on any Adriatic island. Built in 1998 of white Brač marble, it is 12 metres high including its base and replaces a cross from 1934 that was destroyed.
