Kaštel Novi is one of the seven Kaštela villages between Trogir and Split, with a promenade, small harbour and pebble beaches.
About Dalmatia
Dalmatia has around 400 km of coast with countless islands offshore, one of the most indented coastlines in Europe. Most of our accommodation here has a sea view, and many places are just a few minutes from the water. There are also holiday homes with a pool and apartments for couples and small families.

Die Unterkunft von Marija und ihrem Mann war wunderbar. Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen und 5 Kindern dort. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Die beiden Häuser bieten viel Platz (und bei Bedarf auch Privatsphäre) für alle Reisenden. Beide Häuser verfügen über eine Klimaanlage sowie eine Küche. Das große Haus hat zudem einen tollen Grillplatz mit viel Platz für alle Reisenden. Der große Pool wurde jeden Tag gereinigt und die beiden Vermieter waren immer ansprechbar, sofort zur Stelle und haben sich um jedes Anliegen schnellstens gekümmert.

Auch wurden wir nach der Hälfte unseres Aufenthaltes mit leckeren selbstgemachten Köstlichkeiten versorgt.
Die Lage ist ok. Der Strand ist fußläufig erreichbar, aber für Kinder schon weit entfernt (2km). Hin geht es bergab, aber zurück dementsprechend recht steil bergauf, was bei 35 Grad recht anstrengend wird. Mit dem Auto aber gut machbar. Der Strand selbst ist recht klein und in der Hauptsaison maßlos überfüllt und daher nicht schön. Wir sind mit dem Auto auf die Insel Ciovo gefahren und waren dort am Strand.
Leider ist auch in unmittelbarer Umgebung eine Fleischerei und eine Fischerei, was bei wechselnden Winden manchmal zu riechen ist. Auch die Nähe zum Flughafen bringt das ein oder andere Flugzeug samt Geräusch mit sich (die Kinder hat‘s gefreut).
Aber all das trügt nicht den Charme des Hauses.
Sollten wir nochmals in diese Ecke reisen, werden wir sicherlich wieder bei Marija anfragen. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt.
